What we do

Four things, done properly

No subcontracting the survey to a salesman. You deal with the engineer who does the work.

Air-to-air heat pumps

One system that heats and cools. Room-by-room control, no tank, no fuel deliveries, no annual boiler service.

  • Single-room and whole-home systems
  • Replacing storage and panel heaters
  • Supplementing oil and LPG heating
  • Running-cost comparison before you commit

Air conditioning

Design and installation for homes and businesses, from a single bedroom unit to a multi-room or multi-zone system.

  • Wall-mounted, ceiling cassette and ducted
  • Offices, shops, salons and hospitality
  • Holiday lets and guest accommodation
  • Fixed-price quotes, no day rates

Servicing & repair

Annual servicing, deep cleaning and fault diagnosis on any make — including systems we didn't install.

  • Annual service and filter clean
  • Fault finding and repair
  • Breakdown call-outs
  • Site maintenance contracts

F-Gas compliance

Leak testing, refrigerant logs and the records you're required to keep — handled, filed and kept current.

  • Free compliance walk-round
  • Leak testing at the required interval
  • Five-year record keeping
  • Refrigerant recovery and disposal

The bit people miss

It's a heater that happens to cool

Most people think of these as air conditioning. In West Wales the stronger case is winter: an air-to-air heat pump delivers around four units of heat for every unit of electricity it uses.

Electric storage heaters 25p
Oil boiler 9p
Air-to-air heat pump 6p

Indicative cost per unit of heat delivered. Based on electricity at 25p/kWh, heating oil at around 9p/kWh delivered, and a seasonal efficiency of 4.0. Your figures will differ with tariff, property and how you heat. We'll work out yours during the survey, honestly — including telling you if it isn't worth doing.

If you heat with electricity, read this bit

Storage heaters, panel heaters and electric underfloor all run at roughly one unit of heat per unit of electricity. An air-to-air system does the same job for around a quarter of the electricity.

That's the single biggest saving available in this market, and it applies to a lot of older cottages, park homes, flats and ex-council properties across Ceredigion and Carmarthenshire.

You don't have to do the whole house. Most people start with the two or three rooms they actually live in.

Commercial

Comfort, uptime and compliance

Businesses don't buy comfort — they buy a room that works, a system that doesn't fail in August, and paperwork that stands up if anybody asks.

The compliance obligation most businesses don't know they have

Above a certain refrigerant charge, air conditioning must be leak tested at set intervals by a certified engineer, with records kept for five years. On older systems using R410A, that threshold is reached at about 2.4kg — which covers a great many ordinary commercial installations.

How it works

Four steps, no pressure

Free survey

We visit, measure the rooms, look at how you use the space and check what's already there. Half an hour, no charge, no obligation.

Written quote in 48 hours

A fixed price with the equipment named and the running costs set out. If we think it isn't worth doing, we'll tell you that instead.

Installation

Most single systems are a day; multi-room takes two to three. We protect the floors, take the mess with us and show you how it works before we leave.

Looked after

An annual service keeps it efficient and keeps the warranty valid. We'll remind you — you won't have to remember.

What we do with your details

What we collect. Only what you type into the enquiry form — your name, phone number, email address, postcode, property type and whatever you tell us about the job.

Why. To reply to your enquiry, arrange a survey and give you a quote. Nothing else.

Who sees it. Us, and Netlify, who host this site and receive the form submission on our behalf. We do not sell, share or trade enquiry details, and we do not pass them to lead-generation companies.

How long we keep it. Enquiries that don't become jobs are deleted after 12 months. Where we've carried out work, we keep customer and installation records for six years, and refrigerant handling records for five years, because we're required to.

Your rights. You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — email info@beyondair.co.uk and we'll action it within a month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
